FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in manufacture of rod and support members for precision articles of space and ground application. Proposed laminated section consists of inner and outer layers made on fibrous material impregnated with polymeric binder and middle layer placed between inner and outer layers and connected with the layers. Said middle layer is made of prefabricated members of unidirectional fibrous material impregnated with polymeric binder and either identical to material of inner and outer layers or differing from them, laid one near the other at angle of 0° to longitudinal axis of section and connected to each other. Cord or tape material is used as fibrous materials of inner and outer layers laid at angle of 0° - 90° to longitudinal axis of section, or fabric whose weft or warp are arranged at angle of 0° - 90° to longitudinal axis of section, and middle layer is made of similar or combination of different members of trapezoidal, rectangular or triangular cross section. Thickness of layers and schemes of laying of inner and outer layers are chosen from preset thermal coefficient of linear expansion of material of section, and section proper has closed or open cross section.
EFFECT: provision of laminated section of closed or open cross section featuring high stability of form and sizes at temperature ranges defined by serviceability of polymeric binder.
