FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: lamp with a light-emitting diode (LED) based light source has a heatsink with a curved side surface formed by multiple series-interfaced faces on which there are LEDs, and a reflector. The reflector is mounted on the base surface of the heatsink and is in form of a U-shaped component formed by flat lateral longitudinal and transverse walls and the curved bottom which repeats the shape of the base surface of the heatsink with which it is superposed. The longitudinal walls of the reflector form between themselves an aperture angle of 50-90°, and the transverse walls of the reflector, which are interfaced with the outermost faces of the bottom of the reflector, lie outside the solid angle of radiation of LEDs lying on these faces. In an explosion-proof design, the lamp has a housing made from heat-resistant, non-combustible polymer material with low surface resistance and placed on a base made from heat-conducting material. The heatsink, which is placed inside the housing, is connected to that base by metal bushings embedded in the bottom of the housing.
EFFECT: higher illumination brightness on the width of a tunnel and providing a larger light spot, stretching on the length of the tunnel.
