FIELD: MATERIALS FOR voltage regulation in splicing and terminating power cables.
SUBSTANCE: proposed sheet material has at least one layer of elastomer possessing voltage regulation function that fills voids and preferably incorporates 20-70 mass percent of conducting or nonconducting elastomer fillers and at least one auxiliary layer of elastomer preferably incorporating 45-65 mass percent of fillers to enhance desired applied force so as to ensure desired deformation therein when it approaches its destruction point in which thickness and composition of respective layers are chosen to make this material extensible when it is applied to cable sections, and so that enhanced force required for extending auxiliary layer prevented excessive elongation of layer filling the voids. Elastic polymer is chosen from group incorporating ethylene, propylene, and diene monomer based rubber, nitrile rubbers, butyl rubbers, polyisobutylene, amorphous polypropylene, thermoplastic elastomers, and their mixtures.
EFFECT: ability of producing materials best suited to regulate medium and high voltages.
