METHOD OF COMPLEX ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSTICS OF INJURY OF INTERNAL MENISCUS OF KNEE JOINT IN AREA OF BODY AND ANTERIOR HORN Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61B8/00 

FIELD: medicine; functional diagnostics.

SUBSTANCE: method can be used for performing complex ultrasonic diagnostics of knee joint internal meniscus' injury in area of body and anterior horn due to visualization of pathological changes. Linear detector is put on line of crossing of medial condyle of hipbone and medial condyle of knee joint's shinbone. B-mode is switched on and dynamic range of 170 dB is preset within 2-4 MHz frequency range. Position of detector is kept steady. Patient's leg is bent at angle of 45 degrees. Detector is moved down till visualization of proximal department of medial condyle of hipbone. Then detector is rotated clockwise by 30 degrees. Body and anterior horn of internal meniscus are observed. Then Sonic KT-mode is switched on and dynamic range value of 170 dB is preset within 3-8 MHz frequency range. Body and anterior horn of meniscus are subject to scanning. Old breaches are diagnosed and localization and lengths of old breaches are differentiated in contrast to degenerative changes.
