FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology, and can be used for diagnosing an injury of a posterior-external angle of the knee joint. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the knee joint is performed in coronary, sagittal, axial projections. If observing a contusion oedema zone along an anteroexternal surface of a lateral femoral condyle and a contusional oedema zone of a posterior-external tibia condyle with signs of an impression fracture, an injury of a posterior-external angle of the knee joint is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides more effective diagnosis of an injury of a posterior-external angle of the knee joint due to the declared diagnostic features.
