FIELD: sawing materials.
SUBSTANCE: band saw comprises saw blade with set cutting teeth provided with cutting edges and pulleys for transmitting motion to the saw blade. The cutting edge is defined by two lines oriented at an angle one with respect to the other and providing the top of the tooth profile at the intersection point of the lines. The tooth top points in the direction of the saw movement. The saw blade is made of a trapezium that turns over the cylindrical pulleys. The angle between the axes of the pulleys is twice as much as the angle of the blade cross-section.
