FIELD: research of earth depths during searching and prospecting for mineral resources using geophysical methods, in particular, seismic method; main application of seismic surveying method is research of geological structure and composition of rock.

SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, observations are suggested to be carried out simultaneously on the surface and in a horizontal (or strongly directional) well. Land-well seismology method includes recording seismic oscillations in a horizontal well in points, positioned at equal distances from each other, and recording of seismic oscillations by receivers, positioned along given line on earth surface, in case of excitation of oscillations in points, also positioned on aforementioned line, being a projection of well shaft onto earth surface, recording of oscillations is performed from one excitation simultaneously using receivers on the surface and in the well. The information gathered in that way may be used for detailed research of geological cross-section in the interval between horizontal well and earth surface using seismic tomography methods.

EFFECT: increased precision of structure tracing, determining of geological cross-section physical parameters, in particular, speed characteristic of a certain geological object.
