FIELD: search and prospecting for deposits of mineral resources. SUBSTANCE: vibrations are excited by paired stationary sources arranged in series. Directional reception and recording of total seismic wave field, including reflected waves, are conducted by family of orthogonal geophones located in observation hole. Directions containing maximal and minimal amplitude of alternating lateral waves are allocated. Anisotropy coefficients are computed. Coordinates of location of sources in vicinity of hole are set at will. Computation of directions including maximal and minimal amplitudes of alternating lateral waves is started by additional procedure of insertion of equalizing coefficients for discrepancy of times of recording of lateral waves on alternating boundaries and amplitude lack of identity. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and reduced cost of seismic prospecting. 1 cl, 7 dwg
