FIELD: dust catching technique used in chemical, textile, food-processing, light and other branches of industry for purifying of dust-laden gas.
SUBSTANCE: electric cyclone has casing, peripheral gas flow inlet formed as inlet branch pipe, hopper, and discharge branch pipe for discharge of purified gas. Central electrode is extending through volute and exhaust pipe of cyclone. Peak-shaped corona electrodes are located in lower part of central electrode. Upper part of central electrode with needles is fixed in supporting isolator placed within heated isolating box. Openings provided through isolator cover are designed for sucking of outside air. High negative potential is supplied to corona electrodes system through high-voltage bus and open-end isolator. Cyclone casing is earthed. Transition branch pipe is positioned between isolating box and volute.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in dust catching procedure.
