FIELD: machine engineering, possibly mechanical working of flat surfaces of brake disc of transport vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: method is realized with use of working center having working station with clamping chuck and at least one charging-discharging device. Said device is mounted with possibility of motion along axes controlled according to working axes of working station. Charging and clamping of blank in charging-discharging device is performed at gripping blank in mean plane placed between mutually opposite worked flat surfaces. After determining excess thickness of material that is to be taken off each surface said charging-discharging device with blank is fed to clamping chuck for further measuring coordinates of positioning said mean plane. Then blank is clamped in chuck and charging-discharging device is emptied while providing access to both worked surfaces.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and accuracy of working blanks.
