ROLL TYPE PRESS FOR BRIQUETTING LOOSE MATERIALS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC B30B11/18 

FIELD: equipment for pressing loose materials, namely roll type presses for briquetting loose materials, possibly in metallurgical, mining, coal producing and cement making industry branches.

SUBSTANCE: press includes housing and two rolls with journals and with shaping cells mounted in it. Said rolls are provided with bearing assemblies and individual rotation drives in the form of units creating torque and mounted in vertical struts. Pinion transmission couples said units with rolls. Unit for moving rolls at changing load is in the form of rests mounted in housing with possibility of rotation. Units for creating torque are in the form of hydraulic motors whose stators are secured to vertical struts and whose rotors are joined with supporting shafts. Driving pinions are mounted in said supporting shafts for engaging with driven pinions mounted on roll journals and forming pinion transmission. Unit for moving rolls at changing load includes hydraulic cylinders jointly mounted in press housing and having rods jointly coupled with rests. Pressure valve is mounted at inlet of hydraulic cylinders.

EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability of press, increased wear resistance of bearing assemblies, simplified maintaining of press at changing rolls without dismounting drive members.
