FIELD: polymer production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of production of synthetic chlorine-containing film formers via cationic copolymerization of cationophilic monomers selected from monochloroprenes and vinylaromatic hydrocarbons. Copolymerization of organochlorine compounds with unsaturated hydrocarbons is carried out for 1-3 h at 25-65°C in presence of catalytic complex AlCl3O(C6H5)2 and involves (i) 60-80% of organochlorine compounds, which are by-products from allyl chloride production containing 80-98% monochloroprene fraction and (ii) 20-40% of unsaturated hydrocarbons. Above-indicated catalytic complex is promoted with 10% toluene solution of propylene oxide or acetone and contains 0.5-1.0% AlCl3 based on the weight of copolymerizates. Unreacted organochlorine compounds are distilled off and recycled to copolymerization process. Catalyst comprised in thus obtained copolymer is treated with propylene oxide at AlCl3/propylene oxide ratio 1:2.
EFFECT: achieved production of low-inflammability film former and enabled utilization allyl chloride production by-products.
