METHOD FOR CONTINUOUS PRODUCTION OF LIGHT COOLIGOPIPERYLENE POLYMERIC PETROLEUM RESIN Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC C08F240/00

Abstract RU 2473569 C1

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing light polymeric petroleum resins which are colour-stable at high temperatures. The method of producing light polymeric petroleum resin which is colour-stable at high temperatures is realised by feeding into a cooligomerisation zone 30-70 wt % alkylbenzene solvent, 30-70 wt % mixture of unsaturated hydrocarbons consisting of 30-90 wt % styrene or methyl derivative thereof and 10-70 wt % piperylene concentrate, a complex of a Friedel-Crafts acid (FCA) with an oxygen-containing promoter at temperature ranging from minus 10°C to plus 60°C, with subsequent neutralisation of the FCA with a base, removing the neutralisation products and separating the end product by distilling unreacted hydrocarbons. The oxygen-containing promoter used is the following mixture, wt %: 2.22-66.01 carbonyl compound (aldehyde and/or C1-C8 ketone); 3.20-8.06 C1-C9 alcohol; 1.23-66.58 lower olefin oxide and 26.40-52.92 water, in molar ratio FCA: carbonyl compounds : alcohol : oxide : water = 8.97-14.06:0.01-0.69:0.01-0.09:0.01-0.74:1. The technical result is that the polymeric petroleum resins are compatible with mixtures of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and/or another similar elastomer with wax or paraffin and are meant for use in adhesives, adhesion compositions, in road marking paints and other products.

EFFECT: low production cost due to low consumption of materials and a simple process scheme.
