FIELD: optical tool-making industry, in particular, devices for protecting optical systems from effects of laser radiation by ensuring high shutter response speed.

SUBSTANCE: device contains, mounted on optical axis: objective for forming object image, photo-shutter with a motor, connected to electronic unit, generating signal for shutter activation, and photo-detector. Additionally behind the photo-shutter, second objective and diaphragm are positioned, second objective is mounted in such a way, that planes of images of object and photo-receiver are engaged, and diaphragm is mounted in its back focal plane, while photo-shutter is positioned in image plane and made in form of two parallel plates, mounted with possible movement in opposite directions normally to optical axis, in each plate apertures, forming grids, are made, while grids of photo-shutter and diaphragm are made in accordance with the sampling theorem.

EFFECT: increased level of protection of optical systems from effect of interference radiation.
