FIELD: electrical engineering and automation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed connector has plug and socket. One of them has base and movable shroud connected to the latter by means of flexible component. This component is made in the form of band with several rows of longitudinal slits relatively offset in adjacent rows through half of their length. Coaxial annular drillings are made at butt-ends of movable shroud and base on their opposing sides; band is folded to form ring, and butt-ends are disposed in annular drillings of movable shroud and base. Slots are provided in plug or socket of movable shroud and base. Projections are made on both ends of flexible-component butt-end surfaces which are disposed in slots of movable shroud and base for displacement within these slots. Minimal size C between edges of shroud slots, base, and external butt-end surfaces of flexible component are chosen from equation where G is admissible radial displacement of movable shroud relative to base; R is radius of movable shroud and base drillings; α is admissible angle of movable shroud turn relative to base about nominal junction axis. Most optimal clearance C is chosen for desired G and α to ensure junction of mating parts without increasing their size.
EFFECT: reduced size of connector.
