METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A WIND POWER PLANT Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC H02P9/04

Abstract RU 2306663 C1

FIELD: electric engineering, possible use in design of electric energy supplies.

SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, at the output of frequency transformer, connected to magneto-electric generator of alternating current, powered by wind wheel, alternating voltage of stable frequency is created. Control of frequency transformer is realized using main control signal, which is proportional to alternation of average wind wheel power. Using a block for generation of additional signals, several additional signal levels are created, summed up in turns in accordance to frequency of clock impulses with main adjustment signal at stage of increase of output load current. On arrival of each clock impulse, addition of next additional signal level to main control signal is permitted only when information about positive derivative of output load current alternation speed is available. In case of negative value of aforementioned value, recorded by block for determining sign of output current derivative, addition of previous additional level to main control signal is cancelled. The process is repeated until receipt of information about positive derivative of output load current alternation speed.

EFFECT: 10-15% increased efficiency of energy system due to neutralization of errors in measurements of average power of wind wheel and due to usage of dynamic overloads of wind power plant.
