FIELD: radio engineering, possible use in high efficiency radio transmitters, operating in ranges of frequencies up to UHF range.
SUBSTANCE: switching power amplifier contains active key element, serial inductance (L1), dividing capacitor (Cbl), parallel L2CR-contour with active load (R) and powering voltage supply (Vds) with throttle for power-wise decoupling of high frequency circuits. Active key element input is the input of device. Output is connected to serial L1, which, on one side through the throttle is connected to Vds, and on other side, - through Cbl is connected to common point of parallel L2CR-contour, which point in its turn is the output of device. Common point of active key element is connected to common bus Vds and to second common point of L2CR-contour. Values of main elements of device are determined from following expressions: R=((1+π2/4)/2)Vds 2/P, L1=(2/π(1+π2/4))R/ωs, C=((π2/4-1)π/4+1/QL)/(Rωs), L2=QLR/ωs, where ωs - angular frequency of input signal, QL - quality of loaded contour, Vds - power supply voltage, P - power level of output signal. Amplifier realizes mode of operation in "E" class, when it is possible to produce efficiency which is theoretically equal to 100%.
EFFECT: increased output power level at maximal possible efficiency.
