FIELD: electronic and accelerating equipment, in particular, impulse high frequency accelerators of charged particles, such as electrons and ions, possible use as resonator accelerating device for ultra energy accelerator of charged particles, for example of cyclic type.
SUBSTANCE: charged particle accelerator contains, positioned inside the hollow of quarter-wave coaxial resonator: tetrode gun with radial anode, on which a hollow conductive hill-shaped tip is fastened and central straight tube and two side straight tubes for input and output of charged particles, positioned perpendicularly to resonator axis and coaxial to each other, with side straight tubes positioned on opposite sides of the central straight tube and also separated from it with high frequency gaps. The central straight tube is mounted on an end of internal conductor of resonator, remote from generator, while both side straight tubes are rigidly fastened to external conductor of resonator.
EFFECT: device ensures generation of high energy stream of charged particles (electrons or ions) with efficiency not less than 30% at working frequency ˜300 Mhz, has decreased dimensions and mass, increased electrical hardness, reliability and durability.
