FIELD: machine engineering, namely diamond-abrasive working of openings of machine parts.
SUBSTANCE: method is realized by means of tool whose working end is in the form of metallic wire twisted to turns of cylindrical coil spring and having diamond-abrasive layer. Ends of said spring are secured to housing and to rod arranged in central opening of housing and having helical groove. Tool is imparted to rotation relative to lengthwise axis, to radial in-feed and reciprocation motion. Value of radial in-feed of tool is controlled by means of rod performing reverse rotation and reciprocation motion relative to housing due to using pin entering helical groove of rod and mounted in housing.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and accuracy of working with use of simple-design tool, reduced thermal stress, simplified control of working process.
