FIELD: road vehicles, mounted structures, gates, road guards.
SUBSTANCE: device to deflect energy of head-on impact has movable impact surface installed before object to be protected. Said movable impact surface is provided with longitudinal or bow-shaped stops secured on object to be protected by means of joint providing lowering of stops under action on impact force. Said stops have pointed ends getting into ground at moment when object receives head-on blow or are provided with pointed end pieces ejected by pyrotechnical devices at contact with road pavement and getting into engagement with said pavement. Method of deflection of on head-on impact energy from objects having no strong coupling with ground provides deflecting of impact load by means of protective device. Head-on impact energy is deflected from object to be protected owing to transmission of part of energy to ground at moment of setting of mechanical contact between source of blow and ground by means of device described above.
EFFECT: reduced energy of initial impact falling to object to be protected, increased stability of protected object at collision with running object.
