FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, namely out-of-furnace treatment of metal in ladle.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of supplying to branch pipe of gas lift nitrogen or its mixture with inert gas; then immersing to ladle with melt metal suction and draining branch pipes of gas lift; adding to metal mixture of calcium fluoride and calcium-containing killing materials at predetermined relation; after adding said mixture to metal, feeding to gas lift cooling agent onto slag formed in it; extracting gas lift out of metal with solidified slag; during treatment process eliminating air suction inside gas lift by sustaining in it excess pressure in range 10 - 10000Pa. Invention provides reduction dephosphorizing of melt steel in ladle due to treating melt by means of highly active aggressive slag while preventing interaction of said slag with lining of ladle and with air.
EFFECT: improved process of treating melt metal in ladle.
