FIELD: measuring technique.

SUBSTANCE: electrostatic voltage comparator comprises base, movable system made of transverse horizontal beam, movable cylindrical electrodes, unmovable cylindrical electrodes, additional cylindrical electrodes, flags, illuminating lamps with capacitors, photoresistors of zero indicator, members for fastening beam made of two pairs of tension members, rings, two axles of the movable system, and shock-absorbing springs. The comparator is additionally provided with the unit for damping the torsional vibration of the movable system made of two hollows polished rollers each of which is set in the tank filled with a liquid. The first ends of the rollers are connected with the axles of the movable system by means of tension members, and the second ends are connected with the chock-absorbing springs through tension members. Each tank has an opening for filling it with the liquid and two openings for passing the suspending members.

EFFECT: enhanced precision.
