FIELD: radiolocation and automatic equipment, applicable for filtering of the parameters of trajectory (co-ordinates) of the tracked radar objectives or for filtering of some other parameters of other random processes.

SUBSTANCE: adaptation of the filter smoothing factor to the current conditions of objective tracking makes it possible to track the objectives in the conditions, when the objective co-ordinates vary in the general case according to unknown, non-linear laws (for example, at a maneuver of the objective), and the measurements of them are carried out with a constant or variable discreteness, and different unknown errors. The use of the offered method and device permits to conduct the filtering of the objective co-ordinates in the original measurement (polar) co-ordinate system, which considerably simplifies the filtering process, reduces the errors of co-ordinate filtering and precludes the errors arising at co-ordinate transformation from the polar system to the rectangular one.

EFFECT: reduced filtering error.
