FIELD: radar.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used in surveillance Doppler radar stations when tracking the trajectories of manoeuvring targets. In the claimed method, when tracking a target in an overview Doppler radar, the results of autonomous smoothing and extrapolation of the measured Doppler velocity and acceleration obtained using a special additional filter with a first-order polynomial model are used to correct the centres of the gates in range and radial velocity relative to their extrapolation by the main trace filter, as well as to calculate the dimensions of the gates at each step of tracking, which works in parallel with the main trace filter, smoothing and extrapolating the range and angular coordinates. A device for implementing the method is also claimed.
EFFECT: increased stability of tracking of any types of targets at any part of their trajectories due to a significant increase in the probability of correctly linking marks from a target moving both uniformly in a straight line and intensively manoeuvring to the tracked route.
