FIELD: machine engineering, possibly grinding tools used in plants with air cooling at mechanical working, for example diamond grinding tools with end cutting surface.
SUBSTANCE: grinding tool is made with vortex cooling and it is mounted in tail spindle. Layer of abrasive material is applied onto end of tool; in said layer curvilinear grooves with variable cross section are formed. Vortex pipes having supplying and discharging pipelines are mounted by inclination angle 10 -15° relative to rotation axis of tool. Said pipelines are communicated with concentric and radial openings formed in tail spindle for feeding working fluid. Number of vortex pipes corresponds to number of curvilinear grooves with variable cross section.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and quality of working, effective cooling of grinding zone with use of ecologically safe means.
