FIELD: metal working, possibly supplying cutting fluid to grinding zone by action of hydraulic shock. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes hollow mandrel with radial openings and abrasive tool mounted on mandrel and having radial ducts arranged only in near-end portions of grinding disc. Said near-end portions of disc have variable height and central part without ducts inclined by acute angle α relative to plane normal to rotation axis. In description of invention relation is given for calculating value of angle α depending upon height and maximum outer diameter of grinding disc and height of its central part without ducts. Cutting fluid is sprayed by action of impulse pressure to axial cavity, openings of mandrel and radial ducts of grinding disc with use of hydraulic shock. Such design provides intensified grinding process due to axially-shifted cutting layer of central part of disc. It allows to reduce thermal stresses and to improve cutting modes. EFFECT: improved design, enhanced efficiency of grinding process at use of such apparatus. 2 cl, 7 dwg
