FIELD: polymer materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing frictional polymer materials for use in manufacture of brake blocks of railway cars, lifting cranes, clutch plates, electrical appliances, etc. Method envisages rolling of 100 wt parts binder based on butadiene or butadiene/nitrile rubbers with epoxide component including resins, 5-20 wt parts curing agents (alkylphenol-formaldehyde resins), and filling mixture: 100-400 wt parts powder filler and 50-200 wt parts fibrous filler, said binder being, in particular, rubber (A) preliminarily processed on rolls with interaction product of epoxide dian resin having molecular weight 400 to 1200 with methacrylic acid, reacting with epoxide groups and used in amount 0.3 to 0.8 based on its stoichiometrically required amount, in presence of catalyst: methylimidazole used in amount 0.05 to 1.0 wt parts per 100 wt parts reactants (B) at A/B weight ratio between 96:4 and 60:40.
EFFECT: increased heat resistance, strength, and service time of frictional material, increased durability of metallic object being in contact with it due to elimination of sulfur compounds in material.
