FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing friction polymer materials. This method consists in treatment of rubber containing double bonds in the main chain with a block copolymer, which is a ternary product of reaction of dicyclopentadiene dioxide (A), vinylcyclohexene monoxide (B) and novolac phenol-formaldehyde resin with an admixture of free phenol of not more than 2 % (C), also containing double bonds and obtained by combined treatment on plasticization equipment of components A:B:C in ratio from 10:30:20 to 50:50:40 at temperature from +70 °C to +110 °C for 20 minutes to 40 minutes; introduction of vulcanising additives - sulphur, thiuram, 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, powder filler and fibrous filler impregnated with water-soluble epoxy composition. Friction polymer material contains (wt.pts.): rubber - 100; block copolymer - 5÷50; sulfur - 1÷15; thiuram - 0.04÷2.0; 2-mercaptobenzthiazole - 0.3÷4.0, powder filler - 10÷100, impregnated fibrous filler - 15÷150.
EFFECT: significant increase in strength properties and wear resistance of friction polymer materials at temperatures of 150÷180 °C with simultaneous elimination of formation of fibrous dust and improvement of working conditions during mixing of components, as well as neutralization of sulphur formed during operation.
