FIELD: pipeline transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to servicing of pipeline systems designed for transportation of liquid media and it can be used as auxiliary devices preventing accumulation of mud and dirt in pipelines of boiler rooms, heat supply systems, central heat supply points and heat supply units of buildings as well as technological air flows and recycling of water in industrial enterprises. In proposed mud trap pipe and outlet branch pipe are hermetically connected, three-dimensional members are made in form of ball segment whose height is from 25 to 40% of ball radius from which segment is cut out, minimum distance from surface of ball segment to cylindrical housing is from 2 to 5 radii of said ball, holes in pipe are made elongated and orientated parallel to plane of bottom, and member designed to prevent getting of earlier settled particles into medium to be cleaned is cone-shaped, with its larger base pointed upwards which is secured with clearance on pipe. Water-level gauge glass is installed in housing between bottom and larger base of cone-shaped member.
EFFECT: increased degree of water cleaning.
