FIELD: cryogenic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reservoir 11 for storing cryogenic fluid medium. Reservoir 11 contains base part 12, vertical wall member 14 and preferably upper cover 19. Reservoir is provided with leak-proof barrier 26 preventing getting of cryogenic fluid medium into surrounding space and made from thin interconnected metal plates. Vertical wall 14 contains inner carrying wall member 24, and outer carrying wall member 25, and leak-proof barrier 26 is arranged between inner and outer carrying wall members. Invention provides description of method of manufacture of such reservoir 11. According to proposed method, firstly, base plate 12 is installed and then vertical wall 14 is concreted, preferably using slip or knockdown travelling forms. Firstly, inner carrying wall member 24 of wall 14 is reinforced and concreted, then leak-proof barrier 26 is placed from outer side of inner carrying wall member 24, and then outer carrying wall member 25 is reinforced and concreted.
EFFECT: prevention of cracking of impermeable wall and opening of outer wall.
