FIELD: radiolocation, applicable for detection of useful pulse echo signals on the background of the internal noise of the receiving path and external pulse interference.
SUBSTANCE: the method represents an amplitude limitation of signals at the input of the time intraperiod processing including the filtration of the signal interference mixture with the aid of a compression filter and preceding the interperiod accumulation of the burst or single useful signals and the threshold discrimination of useful and interfering signals at the output of the primary processing, the amplitude limitation is carried out in the condition of protection from short pulse interference in accordance with the additional (in respect to the adaptive threshold of discrimination of the useful and interfering signals at the output of the primary processing) adaptive threshold of limitation that is formed on the basis of one (X(K)) of the ordinal statistics formed by disposition in the order of nondecreasing of the amplitudes of the readings of the signal-interference mixture contained in L elements of the data aperture sliding in range, by means of multiplication of the mentioned statistics by coefficient T selected from the condition of preset probability of excess of the level of threshold of limitation by the amplitudes of the readings of own noise of the receiving path, in this case number K of the used ordinal statistics and length L of the sliding data aperture is selected in accordance with inequalities K≥L/2 and (L-K)≤Nn, where Nn - the quantity of readings of the single useful signal at the input of the time processing.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of detection as a result of an enhanced quality of protection from short high interference by means of amplitude limitation at the input of time processing.
