FIELD: metallurgy, namely continuous casting of steel.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of feeding melt steel to mold through dead-bottom submersible nozzle. Outlet ducts of nozzle include constant cross section portion and diffuser portion arranged in such a way that their lengthwise axes are shifted relative to lengthwise axis of supply duct. Length of diffuser portion consists of 0.75 - 1.5 length of constant cross section portion. Shifting value of axis of diffuser portion consists of 0.5 -1.0 of diameter of supply duct. Inclination angle of walls of diffuser portion of outlet duct relative to walls of constant cross section portion of outlet duct is in range 10 - 85°. One wall of diffuser portion is parallel to axis of constant cross section portion; its other wall is inclined relative to it. In variant of invention two walls of diffuser portion are inclined by different angles relative to axis of constant cross section portion. Metal flow is rotated around the whole height of mold along closed path.
EFFECT: enhanced floating up of non-metallic inclusions, reduced trapping of slag particles from metal surface, improved uniformity of chemical content of metal.
