FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyors.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to overhead belt conveyors designed for transportation of lump and loose loads. Proposed conveyor contains posts and belt endlessly closed on drive and tension drums. Carrying members of belt are made with shelves normally orientated to surface of belt with possibility of trusting of said shelves both on two disk rollers on carrying and return runs of belt, rollers being installed square to one another. Shelves are provided with wedge slot cutouts made over entire width of projecting part of shell. Carrying and return of belt are installed equidistantly relative to each other. Carrying members are fastened to outer surface of belt sides. Cylindrical rollers are fitted between sides of carrying and return runs of belt. Rollers are installed on posts for engagement with inner surfaces of sides of carrying and return runs of belt. Wedge slot cutouts are orientated in plan at acute angle to longitudinal axis of belt in direction of its movement and to side from axis, and their design parameters are found from equation Δ/l=h/R where Δ,l are opening of wedge slot cutouts and their pitch lengthwise the belt on its horizontal section; h, R are height of shelf of carrying member and radius of circumference when shelf passes over deflecting drum.
EFFECT: possibility of use standard-design belt on conveyor, provision of catching of torn-off of inclined conveyor.
