FIELD: mechanical engineering; overhead belt conveyors.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to overhead belt conveyors for handling lump and loose loads. Conveyor has posts, belt endlessly closed on drive and tension drums to form carrying and return runs. Carrying members of belt are provided with flanges normally orientated to surface of belt. Said flanges carrying members of carrying and return runs rest on two disk rollers rounded off rims installed square to each other and arranged on conveyor posts. Flanges are provided with slot cutouts. Carrying and return runs of belt are equidistant relative to each other. Carrying members are attached to outer surface of belt sides. Disk rollers are of twin make. Cylindrical rollers are installed on posts between sides of carrying and return runs of belt for engaging with runs and rotation. Cylindrical rollers are installed in plan between twin disk rollers with clearance relative to said rollers. Posts are made U-shaped to permit use of standard belt on conveyor.

EFFECT: possibility of catching broken belt.
