FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyors.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to overhead belt conveyors designed for carrying lump and loose loads. Proposed conveyor has posts, belt forming carrying and return runs closed on drums and support members arranged on posts for supporting both runs of belt. Carrying and return runs of belt are arranged equidistantly relative to each other. Clamps are attached to sides of belt at equal pitch over length of belt with rounded-off projections pointed outwards. Support members on carrying and return runs are made in from of buses with round cross-section for engagement with projections of clamps and disk rollers installed for rotation on posts and arranged between sides of carrying and return runs for engagement with the runs. Buses are made in from of sequentially arranged separate members whose free ends along axis are provided with cylindrical pins for fitting and turning of pins of adjacent members in hollow cylindrical bushing secured on posts by means of brackets, made with longitudinal slots and provided with devices to feed lubricating material into inner spaces.

EFFECT: simplified design, reduced cost of construction, possibility of catching broken belt of inclined conveyor.
