FIELD: mechanical engineering; lifts and elevators.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drive of lift cabin being part of vertical lift. Drive is connected with counterweight and with cabin by flexible tie moving around deflecting device. Drive is furnished with drive motors and horizontal drive shafts with two free ends on which drive wheels of running truck are arranged being installed without possibility of turning through. Running truck contains first frame 1.1 suspended from flexible tie, and seconds frame 1.2 suspended from first one for turning by means of parallel carriers which have connecting device to provide connection with cabin. Two horizontal drive shafts 5.1, 6.1; 5.2, 6.2 are installed on frames of running truck at a distance from each other. Said shafts form by their both ends free ends 7.1, 8.1; 7.2, 8.2 projecting from sides of frames of running trucks with fitted on drive wheels 9.1; 9.2.

EFFECT: provision of constant friction contact of drive wheels and guide.
