SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices used in construction and repair of railway tracks. Proposed tie tamper contains rod whose lower end is made in form of blade and upper end, in form of shank designed for fastening in lever of tie tamper. Middle part of seat surface of shank in length in made deeper relative to outer line of shank.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of tie tamper in operation owing to reduced amplitude of vibrations of blade.
