FIELD: railway infrastructure.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of maintenance of the upper structure of the railway track, in particular to methods for controlling the process of compaction of the ballast layer of the rail track. The method consists in measuring the vibration parameters in the vibration equipment of the machine, transmitting the received data to the computer complex and regulating the operation of the machine in accordance with the measurement results. Measurements are made by means of a module placed on the tool, and/or the lever of the tool, and/or the axis of the lever of the tool, and/or the axis of the hydraulic cylinder of the compression-decompression of the lever of the tool. The temperature of the shank, and/or the tool rod, and/or the tool lever, and/or the axis of the tool lever, and/or the axis of the hydraulic cylinder of the compression-decompression of the tool lever of the padding block can be measured additionally.
EFFECT: efficiency of tamping works increases.
