SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for storing and transportation of bulk products, particularly, to shutoff valves for fuel tanks or railway tank cars. Proposed shutoff valve for fuel tank or cistern has housing, including outer branch pipe and branch pipe to be dipped into tank connecting flange arranged between branch pipes and neck with check gate in form of seat and spool, device for force opening of gets in form of rod with drive and ambient medium emergency protection device in form of weakened section of housing. spool is spring-loaded relative to seat from side of dipped branch pipe. Emergency protection device includes backing-up check gate with metal-to-metal seal.

EFFECT: improved reliability of value including extreme conditions, such as collisions and/or fires.
