FIELD: mechanical engineering; connection of pipes.
SUBSTANCE: in proposed butt joint between two sections of round or flat-oval section sheet metal pipes at least on one end connecting flange is made integral with adjoining wall of pipe to form butt joint with section of pipe. Integral reinforcement ring made of sheet metal adjoins to radial inner part of ring bead of each connecting flange on end of each section of pipe. Invention contains description of making of connecting flange of such butt joint.
EFFECT: improved reliability of joint.
