FIELD: pipe line engineering. SUBSTANCE: pipe coupling has constricted housing 10 wherein elastomeric C-shaped sealing collar 32 is mounted. Sealing flanges 36 face each other. Spring ring 44 made up as a meander is received in ring groove 42. The cross-section of the ring is U-shaped. The ring is provided with slots 74 to hold sealing flange 36 on the wall of collar 34. When housing 10 is constricted, collar 32 is upsetting in the tangent direction and sealing flanges 36 are tightly pressed to the walls of pipe 55. Spring ring 44 is constricted simultaneously due to decreasing width of slots 74. Sealing flange 36 is held due to spring ring 44 on a large area and flow of material of collar 32 through slots 74 is prevented. Shelf of spring 68 that projects out of sealing flange 36 does not allow ring thickening 36 to be glued to the wall of collar 34. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 5 cl, 5 dwg
