FIELD: radio communications.

SUBSTANCE: method is claimed meant for determining position of a terminal in repeater servicing zone in radio communication system. In one aspect, identifying code is transmitted for each repeater and used by terminal (or element for determining position) to uniquely identify the repeater. Identifying codes for repeaters may be realized using pseudo-noise series with certain shifts, which are specifically reserved for repeater identification. In another aspect, identifying codes for each repeater are transmitter with usage of broad spectrum signal, composed in such a way as to have minimal influence on system functioning and to be restorable by means of terminal analogically to modulated signal of direct communication line. Therefore, no additional hardware is required for a terminal to restore signal of identifier.

EFFECT: possible evaluation of terminal position in radio communication system which uses repeaters.
