FIELD: explosives.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of firework elements used in firework products of "Salut" type. Preparation of colored-flame gunpowder mass comprises charging components into mixer and mixing. Components are charged layer-by-layer in following order: first layer containing 60% of the total amount of pyroxylin, second layer - chlorine-containing supplement, third layer - metal fuel with dibutyl phthalate, fourth layer containing 20% of the total amount of pyroxylin, fifth layer containing 50% of the total amount of alcohol/ether/diphenylamine mix, sixth layer - oxidant and colored-flame additive, seventh layer containing 20% of the total amount of pyroxylin, and eighth layer containing 50% of the total amount of alcohol/ether/diphenylamine mix.

EFFECT: increased homogeneity of distribution of components with large difference in density and reduced fire risk during preparation of the mass.
