FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention proposes to use combustible case wastes to produce pyrotechnic compositions for fireworks. To this end, combustible case wastes containing trinitrotoluene, pyroxylin and cellulose are pre-dried at temperature of 40-50°C for 3-5 hours to moisture and volatile substance content of not more than 0.5 wt %, ground to particle size of not more than 100 mcm and added in form of a granular component to a pyrotechnic mixture as an active oxygen-containing oxidant and combustible substance.

EFFECT: invention enables to recycle production wastes containing nitro compounds and enables complete combustion of components of pyrotechnic compositions when using charges as intended and improves basic technical characteristics thereof.
