FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention provides process fluid, which can be used for applying anti-wear and antiscoring self-organizing plastic metal coatings on friction surfaces of coupling parts of machine units and assemblies. Fluid is composed of cupric chloride dihydrate, 3.5-4.0%, industrial-grade formalin, 18-20%, non-copper plastic metal chlorides in amounts depending on cupric chloride percentage and corresponding to compositions of brasses and bronzes, and glycerol, the rest. In particular embodiments of invention fluid may be composed of, wt %: (1) glycerol 72-77, industrial-grade formalin 18-20, cupric chloride dihydrate 3.5-3.8, tin(IV) chloride pentahydrate 2.0-2.2; and (2) glycerol 75-78, industrial-grade formalin 18-20, cupric chloride dihydrate 3.5, lead(II) chloride 1.15-1.40, tin(IV) chloride pentahydrate 0.05-0.10.
EFFECT: enabled self-organization of applied coating to maximize anti-wear and antiscoring resistance in friction pairs.
