FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention is designed to increase service life and improve reliability of units and sets of mechanisms, particularly, to increase wear resistance of rail vehicle wheel-rail friction pair. According to first versions, coating is applied by selective transfer of atoms (Ions) of plastic metals from metal-cladding ionization solution at friction at contact temperature exceeding 70oC and pressure from 0.30 MPa within the limits of local area of working part of marker stationary installed in rail vehicle and made of flexibly deformable porous material which takes in metal-cladding ionization solution from main reservoir by capillary suction and delivers it to wetting of zone of treatment, thus providing continuous automatic application of plastic metals (copper, tin, etc) to roll surface of wheel, as it wears. According to second versions, automatic application and continuous restoration of coating of plastic metal alloy on roll surface pf wheel by selective of material from working part of brass or bronze insert installed additionally parallel to marker is provided owing to friction at contact temperature higher than 100oC and pressure from 1.20 MPa in regenerant solution as regards plastic metals of application alloy. According to third version, automatic application and continuous restoration of composite coating of plastic metals and alloy based on said metals on roll surface of wheel are provided by selective transfer of atoms or ions of plastic metals from metal-cladding ionization solution and material of working part of brass or bronze insert installed additionally I parallel with marker owing to friction at contact temperature exceeding 85oC and pressure from 0.50 MPa in metal-cladding ionization solution placed in zone of local area of contact of wheel roll surface with working part of brass or bronze insert and marker. Invention provides automatic application and continuous restoration of plastic metal coating on roll surface of wheel of railway vehicle, as it wears in process of operation, and application of coating of plastic metals with optimum characteristics of chemical composition , structure and physical and mechanical properties, improves wear resistance of roll surface of wheel and rail track, reduces cost of repair of rolling stock. Ecologically safe and wasteless process contributes to manifestation of stable wearless friction effect in wheel-rail jointing in process of operation of rail vehicle.

EFFECT: increased service life and reliability of units and sets of vehicles.
