FIELD: construction, particularly structural elongated elements designed for load-supporting, namely composite beams.
SUBSTANCE: composite beam comprises central load-bearing member and stabilizing side longitudinal members arranged in upper beam part. Longitudinal members are made as two parts of smoothly curved resilient strips. Central load-bearing member includes two symmetric parts connected with each other by means of periodic transversal stiffening members. Each stiffening member is composite and comprises three tubular members. Two members have curvilinear and linear parts and form mirror images of each other. The third member is connection one and arranged between load-bearing member parts. Curvilinear parts of mirror-symmetric members are located from outer beam part and enclose side stabilizing longitudinal members. Linear parts thereof are arranged inside connection member. Connection member has inner diameter equal to outer diameter of mirror-symmetric members.
EFFECT: increased torsion resistance.
