FIELD: mechanical engineering; rotary machines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed insert unit of rotary machine containing rotor and housing includes channel arranged over circumference in rotor, and insert arranged over circumference in channel. Housing encloses rotor, being aligned coaxially with its axis and arranged at a distance in radial direction. Channel includes hook-like flange passing over rotor surface to fasten insert. Insert unit is made with possibility of heat isolation of heat exchange at friction between rotor and insert. According to other design version, rotary machine is turbine. Method of adaptation of insert unit in turbine includes forming channel in rotor and fitting insert in channel. Insert unit is made in form providing heat isolation of heat exchange between rotor and insert at friction.
EFFECT: increased reliability of rotor owing to reduction of supply of heat formed at friction in brush seal to rotor.
