FIELD: electric engineering, possible use in transformers of electric energy powered by voltage or current sources with limited power, such as solar batteries.

SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, in known impulse transformer, which contains input capacitor and a circuit comprising serially connected winding of power throttle and key element, connected to input buses of transformer and a circuit comprising serially connected diode and load bridged by input capacitor, connected in parallel to key element, circuit of input capacitor additionally features capacitor and resistor, interconnected in parallel fashion.

EFFECT: reduced pulsations of input voltage of transformer during operation with solar battery at current section of its volt-ampere characteristic.
