FIELD: veterinary science, veterinary surgery.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with osteosynthesis of tubular bones in small-sized domestic animals; it is mostly efficient applied at osteosynthesis of tubular bones in case of transverse fractures. In osseous fragments one should make through canals to apply the needles through them followed by their fixation. These needles should be designed with an eye at one end to direct them with free end through the above-mentioned canals located at the distance of about 1.5-2.0 cm against fracture line being perpendicular long osseous spine. One should fix the needles from one side with the wire by the rings directed towards the fracture line, and from another side - by their free ends bent aside oppositely against the fracture line. Application of the suggested method enables to decreases medullar traumas and those of supplying artery, exclude mechanical impact of metal implants in the fracture area, create optimal conditions for forming endospinous and perispinous callus.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of operation.
